How long should you fast?
Typically, 8-10 hours prior to your blood draw. Speak with your healthcare provider for specifics related to your testing.
What can I drink prior to my blood test?
If your physician has requested a fasting blood draw, only water is recommended prior to blood draws.
Should I take my medication before my blood test?
Call and speak with your physician for specifics related to your medication.
What should I expect for during my child’s pediatric blood draw?
Depending on the age of the child, two team members may arrive to ensure a safe collection. Our team is highly skilled in pediatric blood draws and heal sticks.
What is a specimen pick-up?
A urine, stool, sputum or other test that does not require a blood draw. Some urine tests require a blood draw. Please call us to discuss your testing if you are unsure.
Do you accept insurance?
For the blood draw, we do not process payments through insurance. Your blood is dropped off at the laboratory that is recommended by your insurance company or one that you prefer.
How are the results delivered?
The ordering physician will directly receive the results from the processing laboratory.
What is different about a mobile blood draw and a blood draw at a freestanding draw center or my doctor’s office?
